i had a 1:1 call today a guy doing close to $1m/month with his agency bought an hour of consulting with me on paper, it should've probably been the other way around.. the digital coffee shop looks like a tiny side hustle compared to his big agency it has 50+ employees, systems for every breath they take and a step by step process for every moving piece like a factory i know nothing about that but, he is building a hyper profitabel consulting offer on the side and he loves the coffee shop lucky for me, i know a lot about that here's the thing... this guy loves the coaching aspect of his new venture the proximity, the 1:1 client work and being useful to agency owners whos a few steps behind him that what drives him but every time we got close to that truth, he defaulted back to the same questions how do i convert people? optimize my time? hire a CSM? the $1m/month agency mentality kicked in if it's not operationalized, systematized or optimized, then it's not real work so here's what i told him "the most important thing you can take away from this call is the relationship you're building with your coaching business" his agency has 65 people relying on him.. co-founders, team, clients, obligations that business needed to become a machine for the role it's playing in his life but if he's taking that mentality into his coaching business, he will build another vehicle that he'll want to escape from double trouble this new venture is where he gets to be free where he can speak his truth where he can do things that only he wants to do theres no team, obligations or a c-suite overlooking every decision just the work he actually enjoys and that is very hard for him mentally because the thing that made him successful in the agency is the exact thing that will kill the coaching business if he brings it over right now, he's trying to operationalize his freedom, creativity and 1:1 relationships but those aspects doesn't scale like service delivery, reports and SOPs it breathes it's fluffy it's personal it's unscaleable it's.... the whole point it's the things you do because you want to, not because it says you have to in the SOP cheers to that best, fred ps. if you want 50+ employees and a c-suite, im not your guy if you want a place that gives you cashflow, creativity and freedom, welcome home... here's how I can help you:
