tech vs. identity

a year ago, my clients asked me how to connect Kit to their Manychat

how to setup a content calendar that notifies the team

how to set up a landing page

technical questions. execution questions.

now?

i don't get a single tech question

instead, the questions are about identity, copywriting, standing out, positioning, unique mechanisms and storytelling

it feels like the shift happened from one day to another

the reason is someone named Claude

anyone can throw a screenshot of a landing page in there and get a working template file in 30 seconds

anyone can screenshot their Kit account and get a step by step guide on how to connect it

anyone can build a awesome looking content calendar with a few prompts

from a coaching and consulting standpoint, technical skills are now a commodity

communication is the new scarcity

it's not about who can code or create the landing page anymore

it's about what to write on it

and information? it's flying around everywhere.. even my mom is asking ChatGPT everytime in doubt

instead, it's about anchoring the correct information in the right context and in stories that only you can tell, so the information is USEFUL

because here's the thing

AI can replicate structure, design and function

but it can't replicate your story

that's the gap now.

and most people are still optimizing for the wrong thing.

they're still asking "how do i build this?"

when the real question is "what do i say that makes people care?"

i still believe we're early to this shift

early enough that if you start now, focusing on your communication, story, identity and what you believe to be true - you'll be ahead of most people in your space for the next few years

the tools will keep getting easier

the message will keep getting harder

your inbox will tell you when the shift has happened

mine already has

best, Fred

when i lived in sunny dubai and my business did $217,000 per month, i didn't feel very rich last month, my business only did 1/4 of that number the taxman takes half of it i only see the sun twice per year in denmark and yet i've never felt richer the digital coffee shop model wasn't designed to make me rich in cash fast if I wanted a quick jump in revenue, i could've picked the restaurant on the other side of the road they serve a money back guarantee together with a nice video sales letter...

when you focus more on ideas and philosophy rather than offers and guarantees, this is what happens: i sent my offer document to a guy who showed interest in working with me yesterday everything looked great, he just had 1 question: "Do you have examples of companies you've worked with that are not working with other coaches/consultants to help them grow? I know this is an annoying question, it's just that I have been burned before by people who were "selling the shovel." fair question, i've...
