Im a terrible salesman and I don't plan on changing it. My barista at my local coffee shop is also a terrible saleswoman. I don't think she knows... don't tell her I said it. BUT she is an amazing service provider. I believe coffee and consulting is supposed to be bought and served, not convinced and sold. In consulting, the only “sale” that must take place, is the client selling themselves on the transformation. A perfect client is a “sold-on-oneself-client” It creates a pattern. Past performance is an indicator of future performance. This “sale” must take place every day.. the transformation requires daily discipline. The only clients who will take action everyday, are the ones who are sold on themselves. Everyday. Sold on creating content on days with low creativity. Sold on doing the boring tasks. Sold on sticking to the long-term plan. If the partnership was initiated by you convincing them, then you’ll be stuck in the convincing-role for the rest of the partnership. Constantly having to re-sell and convince them on the idea, aka, my worst nightmare. “Remember, YOU wanted to start that business” “But, YOU said you wanted to get in shape” Im not here to convince or sell any clients on themselves. I would rob them of the greatest gift of life: the feeling of believing and betting on oneself. If I was the one convincing and it works out, I get the credit. If I was the one selling and it doesn’t work out, I get the blame. In either scenario, I cannot win. If the client came to me, sold on themselves and it works out: They credit oneself. If it doesn’t work… impossible. People who trust themselves will always make it work. Im here to show the way for the people who genuniely wants to follow it. Im not gonna force someone to walk it. I know that im more defined by who I dont work with, than the ones I do work with. When you’re constantly chasing clients, you’re telling yourself that clients is a scarce resource. If something is scarce, you’ll do anything to get it. You’ll convince. And sell. By restricting supply, i’ve automatically erased the feeling of chasing clients. And by constantly sharing my ideas, the demand is not a problem. If you’re planning on being in this space for a long time, you must give people results and it starts with who you let though the door. It’s hard to pick the right people when the door is always open. Best, Fred |

Yesterday, Tobias and I grabbed a sandwich, a white monster and a notebook, then hopped in the car and set the location for Toftum Bjerge. It’s a 25 minute drive from my hometown, and a place my family often visits for a nice walk. It's beautiful. Outside of the essentials (white monster), we also brought a camera and a microphone. Most importantly: NO scripts or teleprompters. They are banned in Toftum Bjerge, you will be sent straight to jail if you’re seen using a teleprompter there. The...
